Today’s host? Rubicon. This episode comes on the heels of a new Letter From The Producer and a new trailer on the official FFXIV website, so there’s a lot of hype in what’s left of the community at the moment. In addition to that, Tanaka says goodbye, we go over the recently released Patch 1.23, and we’ve got lotsa Dev Tracking!
A quick glance at the clock this morning made me excited. Why? When Final Fnatasy XIV finally makes its transition to version 2.0, we can expect a lot of changes to occur in the game world. The storyline, quest system, and the game world itself are all up for grabs when it comes to revamp, and although we don’t know the extent of how these particular elements will change, we do know that it some content simply won’t be available anymore. If you’re the type of ocd person who doesn’t want to miss out on anything in the end, this might be a bit of an issue. Luckily, SE has decided to make it a bit easier on those who want to complete as much of old world as possible before everything goes up in a fiery ball of death.
Just a mere few weeks after the first redesign of the FFXIV official website, the site has been redone once again. Not only did the site get a much needed revamp, but this time around the website is centered around actual information and updates, rather than just being a teaser page for some images and videos. Just what the doctor ordered.
Patch 1.23 is here, with the new Skirmish battles taking center stage in the initial release of this patch. Since this will be the very last patch before Version 2.0 goes into full swing, additional updates to this patch should be released in the near future that will finally wrap up the Umbral Era storyline. If you haven’t seen the newest trailer, you can expect a ton of destruction in the works.
