A Realm Reborn: FFXIV Touts Newly Revamped Website and Trailer Zantetsuken | A FFXIV Fansite

Just a mere few weeks after the first redesign of the FFXIV official website, the site has been redone once again. Not only did the site get a much needed revamp, but this time around the website is centered around actual information and updates, rather than just being a teaser page for some images and videos. Just what the doctor ordered.

With a new game title of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the site now contains revamped information about the story, world, races, and some major locations in the game, as well as some unique lore about moogles, chocobos, and machina. It’s become a much more information driven site, with space for news as well as media and community.

A Realm Reborn: FFXIV Touts Newly Revamped Website and Trailer Zantetsuken | A FFXIV FansiteThere is even a “Threats” section were we not only get a glimpse of the Garlean Empire and the two Judges we’ve already come to know and love, but we also get our first look at who can only be considered the main baddie of the Garlean Empire. An old, menacing-looking guy named The First Emperor of Garlemald, Solus zos Galvus.

Some of the information presented here most of us should already know, but a few things have been expanded upon and a some of it has been retold in a new way, so it’s worth a read just to get an updated take on the world many of us already know about. But the centerpiece of the new site is a brand new trailer that was released along with the site. From the looks of it, this was probably the trailer meant to be shown during E3. It’s a top notch effort, what you’d usually expect from SE in terms of CG animation.

There were tidbits of the story released throughout the trailer, and if you’re not spazzing out from the visuals and listen closely, you can hear the words, “Yet the bravest of us were spared, sent beyond the reach of time, where we remained. Until now.” That sounds suspiciously like time travel. We should find out more about that particular aspect of the trailer in the coming weeks, but in the mean time, take a look at it for yourself.
