Culinary Creation Contest
Can you cook? Can you pretend you can cook? Can you pretend you can cook with pretend ingredients from a fictional world? Then you’ve probably been waiting for this contest. The devs want you to send in a make-believe recipe for their contest and the prize is a virtual item. We don’t even know what’s real anymore.

Patch 1.21 arrived on Thursday and although we hadn’t had the chance to explore it fully, we thought we’d give our take on what’s so great about it. Or do we?! We read some love letters to each other, but we find out that Roegadyn with mustaches are pretty pervy. We didn’t cover everything, since we were short on time today, but we did manage to get a bit of Aetheryte Camp in.

SBXIV 09: Occupy World Merge

Yelta Sumasu joins us today as a guest. Be kind to her because she’s a great gal. She even put up with all of our crazy shenanigans. We tried to have a talk about Gamer Safety Week. Yoshida decides we need more jewels and rings. And crafters get a revamped HQ item system so they can craft more HQ items while they craft their HQ items with their HQ items. Then we start feeling a bit slighted about the upcoming world mergers. Then we get weird with horses and voice chat on Dev Tracking.
Note: Although we complain about the world merger here, Yoshida actually changed his mind hours after we recorded this episode. Don’t worry, it’s all explained here.

We’ve got a double dose of Letters from the Producer. The first letter, XIII is surprisingly news-less. Just a lot of new year’s shenanigans. Letter XXIV is all about the upcoming Patch 1.21. Yoshida himself is touting that “Patch 1.21 is going to be the biggest patch yet since the launch of FFXIV service.”
